Lighting holds are common during the summer months. Please watch the weather closely!

If we have a Lightning Alert during practice, EVERYONE MUST TAKE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.  They cannot remain in the pool.

Our lightning procedures are as follows:

• If we have a strike within 10 miles the pool and pool deck are off limits for 30 minutes
• If another strike happens, the clock resets.
• Only after 30 minutes with a strike is the all clear is issued.  

If the Countdown keeps resetting after the practice start time for your swimmer's group, we may cancel practice.  Keep a close watch on the alerts. If it looks as if it will clear and we can get started before the half way point in a practice we will try to get in.
